Today we have twenty Inspiring DIY Projects for you to choose from this week! Are you feeling inspired? All of todays projects come from Hobby Craft where you can get all the art supplies you need for your lovely creations.
The above pennant garland has been created using Tanya Wheelan floral fabrics in gorgeous spring colours! All of the tutorials featured today can be found under the ‘Idea’s’ tab on the Hobby Craft homepage.
Look at these marvellous hanging decorations created using styrofoam balls, sewing pins and punched paper flowers. The best thing about the projects on this site is that there is an estimated ‘time to make’ so if you’re impatient like me, you can choose quick projects like this one!
This easy DIY butterfly canvas is a fabulous budget wall art idea! Created using a pastel paper pack, a canvas, some adhesive and a butterfly paper punch! Easy peasy, squeeze the lemons. (That’s a quote from Horrible Histories, my favourite tv show ever :p)
Another super simple wall art project; button hearts in a box frame. Pastel, pretty and effective!
This fabric wall clock with mice and pom poms is so adorable! Perfect cat toy!
The tutorial featured above in this spring themed garden party is for the beautiful green polka dot, beaded table runner. It’s a great idea to use beads on the ends as table cloth weights.
These decorated tote bags are created using canvas tote bags and fabric paint! The possibilities are endless ^_^
Decorated chalk boards using adhesive alphabets! I love the addition of the chalk on some twine. I’m a bit heavy handed with chalk, or I buy cheap chalk. Either way, it always breaks on me!
I think this DIY project is possibly my favourite and will be a christmas present for somebody. A fimo necklace! You make little balls from the clay and just smoosh um! (I apologise for anyone who has translated this blog, you just make little balls from the clay and flatten them). The colours in this necklace are glorious!
Another fimo clay project is featured here. Making drawer pulls! I thought this was very interesting ^_^
Easy frosted jars tutorial to turn into lanterns. A very simple and cheap wedding DIY idea!
I LOVE this necklace! Felt, clay, beads and buttons were used to make this. There are lots and lots of jewellery tutorials in the Ideas section of Hobby Craft’s website to choose from but this one was one of the most unusual and one of my favourites.
DIY applique cushions, using fabric and buttons! A perfect idea for a kids bedroom.
Mosaic plant pot. I initially fell in love with this image because of the flowers and then I realised that the whole image had quite a nautical, bathroom feel. Then I fell in love with the little mini doughnut shaped life saving rings! They’re adorable and are beautiful colours.
Some painted plant pots for your enjoyment! This is one of the easiest DIY projects to do and one of the most effective. You can easily brighten up your home inside and out with painted plant pots!
A patchwork tea cosy is a perfect sewing project to help practice your sewing skills! Especially if Tanya Wheelan fabrics are involved.
Russian Dolls as a weekend sewing project! These are adorable and I’m sure any little girl would love one or two of these on her bed.
Tea cup candles. This is a perfect project if you go through candles like crazy. I use them a lot in the winter months for extra heat! I had an awful problem of dirt on my walls so I have to think of other solutions. I do have lots of soy wax pellets upstairs so I will be creating some of these for myself ^_^
Are you going to be making anything this week?
