Hey everyone! While I was perusing my Flickr favourites last week I (re)stumbled upon the work of mixed media/paper artist Dawn commonly known as Dawbis! You can view her Flickr here
I am seriously in love with Dawns imagery. I wish she had an etsy shop or sold postcards of her collages and photographs. Unlike with other art and paper collage you see online, with Dawn's work I never think 'I could do that myself'. I could technically do it myself, but this is the Dawbis style that I am sold on and I would definitely pay for. It's absolutely perfect. If she could bottle it she would be a millionaire!
I dont have a favourite in this little collage. Possibly the top kitty, then the kissing birds and the middle kitty. Dawn also has several images on her flickr photostream of her desk and the mess that's upon it; but is always colour coordinated perfectly. Those are the type of postcards I would love for the inspiration wire in my living room!
I'm sure you can all tell how much I adore this lady! She was lucky enough to be blessed with a little baby this year so I would like to congratulate her and wish the best of luck! I cannot wait to see more paper craft items and hopefully an etsy shop!

neither am i! I should only be allowed near scissors for snipping thread or wool. I got a sizzix cuz 1. Im too lazy to cut shapes and 2. im really bad at it anyway hah!

The cat and bird scene is gorgeous! I love the way everything looks so simple and yet, like you said, I wouldn't dare think that I could do it myself.

Hehe, this is sweet. I just might re-open my shop this year, but we shall have to wait and see how little miss Sofia behaves. She's a handful! But such an inspiration, too! My head is full of ideas... now if I can just find some time to make some art :)
