I decided to show you all the lovely doily crafts I discovered when I was trying to figure out if I could make a lampshade without it looking ridiculous :p
These are adorable! I could definitely make these jars - even without the antique tea stained version.. just as little votive holders
What adorable packaging! I tried to cover a doily in pva glue once and as soon as i lifted it, it fell apart. So i got angry and gave up. Like with most things lol
These are little favour bags for a wedding.. how gorgeous are these?! I would even make wee scented lavender bags maybe for your drawers or wardrobe. If I did that with deciccated coconut would it work? I hate the taste of coconut (which is WEIRD cuz i love the smell.. poss the texture)
A gorgeous garland perhaps?! I think I would add PVA Glue to these (or mode podge if you're american) just to make them stiff.. I might do that for christmas on the window.
I do love a doily bowl!! See my tutorial for one here I might make another using a big mixing bowl to have it curved.. would look gorgeous with pine cones in it! I might need to invest in some more glue :p
ooOo I love the cup and saucer! I don't have a wooden table.. my tables are white so this would be a little redundant on mine.
More votives! I love them. Absolutely gorgeous... and pretty little styling.
These were the lampshades!! I don't think I would be able to do it without making a mess or it looking ridiculous...
How cool is this?! A crochet bicycle wheel cover
oo Doodling on doilies! I love them! Such a bright and colourful idea.
Prettyful colours for an autumnal crochet garland ^_^ It's so beautiful.
I think Ive shared these garlands on the blog before but tough, you can look again lol
ooO AND cut out marshmallows!
How amazing is this grey cloud and doily decoration? This would make the cutest decor ever. I think it would be fairly simple to make and making it with linen would be fabulous!
This one from Sweet Paul is what started the hunt... I don't have one in this fabulous shape.. just a ridiculous sized one lol in a weird shape! more of a dome.. I still haven't decided. Perhaps I shall make a mobile type thing.

Oh, I love doilies! and all of the projects that you have here are amazing! I can't pick a favorite. I have used paper doilies for gift packaging too. I've used glue in a roller or I've tried to glue the main parts with simple liquid glue. PVA just makes it wet and so it can be destroyed.
For a table runner you could use colored doilies. They would look perfect on your white table. I've seen tutorials using food colorings. And you should try the lampshade. I think it'd be lovely and it would fit perfectly in your home.
Love love love these doilies!!! Especially the clouds!
These clouds are so beautiful! Als love the other doilies activities.
