Keeping A Visual Journal Using an Old Hardback Book | Advice and Tips from How Does She

I was so pleased to find this fabulous article via Pinterest. Some of you lovelies may have noticed that my 'journalling' posts fell by the way side in previous months, well I blogged about that a few weeks ago that I was grieving for my Cat who I had for 16 years that we had to put down which was very sad indeed and I just couldn't find the motivation to journal about things that were going on. Now Im back to being inspired again and itching to get journalling. Im going to blame the weather ^_^

This article was created by the lovely Cristi of Weeds to wishes blog and is currently suffering from a horrendous loss and my heart goes out to her. Such a beautiful inspiring lady and I hope she gets back to full health soon. Throughout her article she explains the things you need, like my favourite item - Gesso, to make a vintage book your own personal journal.

I have been going crazy recently trying to find how people organise their supplies for current projects that they're working on! I will share what I have found. Trying to inspire myself to narrow down what  I need at the moment I suppose! A carry case like this is absolutely perfect. Pockets galore!

Cristi has turned this article into a guide on how to prep that pages and really goes through how she works.. and her process

Ive tried this before but Im a massive fan of adding layers! Might try a few more painted pages with not so many layered pieces.

She's so organized!

I love these colours! And instead of using mixed papers she's used paint and pattern. I have many rubber stamps to add texture and things so I should definitely get on with this!
