Please excuse the terrible quality of images! These were taken in a very dark room as it faces north and it was via my phone. Suprizingly enough my phone copes with the low light images better that my digital cameras! They get far too grainy. Anywho I digress!! A while ago I created this post about pull out tables in a kitchen area that I thought would be a great idea for the tiny space in my craft room. Although Im on a tiny budget! So i went to the ikea site. I discovered the Lyckhem Occaisonal table which is originally meant for a dining room sideboard I think but the measurements turned out to be perfect. Just a little deeper than the billy bookcase that was there before so not taking up too much room.. nice and tall for me because Im very tall and also have back problems so when I sit i need my knees to be lower than my bum.. so so so... it all worked out lovely. I attached the measuring tape to the front too which is incredibly useful! I bought a bar stool from Ikea too but before I did that I had done my maths regarding heights so its perfect. The cat has taken to sleeping on the chair though because it sits just above the radiator... its her new favourite spot!
This is the bread bin on top of my desk! I have it organised using greengate square baking cups in the middle and the box they came in. At the end are my hard drives and its the perfect size. It usually stays open for easy reach but may need to do a little rearranging for my sewing machine to fit. Depends which looks the best ^_^
Annnd my ikea expedit! Lots of fabric in my shelves. Just prettiness to look at ^_^
