Keeping A Visual Colour Journal | Boheme Circus Mixed Media Journalling Inspiration

I recently discovered Boheme Circus and I am so glad I did! We never see full journals but I do love even seeing little peeps of art collections and papers that are used for inspiration.

I love the colours here. Beautiful shades ^_^ Ive been thinking of keeping a colour journal for a while and I really think I should, as a quick reference for colour palettes when Im matching up watercolour for backgrounds or scrapbook paper backgrounds and little embellishments.

I love the colour at the veeery back of this. A pale aqua. Soooo pretty ^_^ So very inspiring.

I think I need to also look up some water-colour techniques and work on those for adding different texture to my layouts in my journal pages and pieces. After having worked on separate A5 papers and kept them as a binder book and working in sketchbook format.. I have to say I think I prefer sketchbooks. Everyone has their preferences right? I was just so used to working in spiral bound sketchbooks in A4 size, when I discovered the A5 size that was more portable I fell in love! Now I'm working in a large A5 hardback with standard binding and I love it too! It's so difficult to know for certain. I like to add layers in my journalling and in the hardback standard binding Im using now I have intentionally avoided using layers as I don't want it to become ridiculous and impossible to close as it will end up living on a book shelf with my others.. at least with a spiral bound if it gets too thick you can remove the spiral things and replace them with extra large binding rings. Hmm indeed.

Perhaps spiral sketchbooks for layered journalling and hardback sketchbooks for doodling and drawing? I do like to keep things in one place though. Darnit! Im so indecisive sometimes!
I like how these cut out pieces and 'negative' pieces of paper have been included in this wee notebook ^_^

I LOVE this mood board magazine!! I have an A4 Kraft sketchbook that I use as my mood board book. I love it. So many different formats.

Such a crazy collection of colours and textures. A gorgeous set of colours.

And stitching ^_^ I seriously love that extra wide washi tape. Need to get myself some of that on the go.

Gorgeous little mini DIY stitched notbeooks. I really like the idea of these but any one that I have made Ive ended up losing because they're so small. A5 appears to be my preferred size in most things.

ahh washi tape. In swatches!! I love them. Especially that yellow grid tape. That would be my favourite.

I love the punched out hole paper. (negatives) S'what I call them :p I struggle sewing paper too.. Im just too lazy to keep changing the needles... so difficult right?
