Around My Home and Birthday Celebrations | My Pastel Coloured Home and Decorative Touches

oo I love this mini carnation arrangement! It actually happened by accident as I was collecting all the broken stalks while putting others in little vases and other such receptacle devices. You can tell this photo was taken with my lovely new phone compared to the quality of the rest of the images here. These are lots of lovely photos from around my house from this month so far really. I might be a little bit addicted to flowers and all things floral.

I was very lucky to be given cath kidston bedding as a gift so of course I had to iron my pillowcases after ironing because they were all crumply and I do have grand plans of taking rather glorious bed room pictures! The stripe side of the pillowcases is my favourite ^_^ the floral side is also rather lovely. Think I need to get myself two more!

I was becoming a little disheartened with the 'styling' and arrangement of items on my 'telephone table' on top of the cupboard where all the fuses are really.. I realised that previously everything was too short and I needed some height so I invested in some lovely Cherry Blossoms to make the mirror above tie in seamlessly with the decor underneath. So far so good! It was pure luck that I had that flask as the silk cherry blossom stems didn't look right in any other vase I had; none were tall enough. So I started bending stalks and jamming them anywhere possible! Im learning to love elastic bands with my silk flower arrangements ^_^ P.s that is the loudest telephone you will ever hear! Stupid Vintage phones! Makes me jump out of my skin every time it rings.

A week at the blossom side of my marvellous cath kidston pillowcase ^_^ Pretty non?

A gorgeous silk arrangement I had custom made. This photograph doesn't do it any justice at all so I will take lots more photographs and share them with you with the details of where I purchased it and the lovely big jug it came in! And that lovely blue fabric is available in my fabric shop.

These flowers are Gisela Graham silk Tea Tree flowers but I thought they were australian wax flowers as they look exactly the same. Yes I do frame vintage wallpaper patterns as decorative items! And that is a little anthropologie bowl that stores my homemade salt scrub for my face. I also like this little retro bathroom sign, although it needs secured to the door as it's tres noisy.

And finally.. a truly terrible image of my orchid lights before I got my new phone and before I managed to get my cables organised and hidden! Those lovely cushions are from the beautiful Belinda Barry - Binkee Shop on etsy.

Lots of love Claire xo
