Kawaii Stationery and Snail Mail Ideas

Merissa Cherie doodle book

I love Merissa Cherie! Merissa was one of my very first blog friends and snail mail pals and man does she know how to create a gorgeous little package! I am crazy about this beautiful notebook filled with doodles. I might have to create something similar, or at least practice my doodling!

mail packaging

Merissa has got the most incredible handwriting and ability to ‘letter’ with great skill! I love the polka dots on this brown paper packaging and the torn washi tape, paper strips surrounding the address label.

happy mail

This looked like a fabulous package to receive! Being involved with Happy Mail or the Snail Mail project is such a lovely thing! You meet so many wonderful people and the joy that you have in your heart when you receive some unknown goodies! Sometimes I’ve been brought to tears with all of the lovely thought that has gone into a lovely parcel that I have received ^_^

calligraphy on an envelope

This is a really beautiful gift box. Merissa was the person who inspired me to improve my handwriting and take some online calligraphy classes. I had to completely retrain my handwriting style as I learnt incorrectly and the movement came from my wrist instead of my shoulders. I learnt a lot of lettering exercises and I really need to start practising again!

calligraphy on cards

There’s my name! I was lucky enough to be the recipient of a fabulous Hawaiian christmas card two years ago and I still put it up every year lol. The red envelope was a different year and it was just as lovely.

polka dot pencil pouch

I really like this polka dot pencil pouch! I’m really obsessed with kawaii stationery and little pencil pouches. I actually received a lovely pencil pouch that is maybe 6″x4″ and it’s very slim but it’s very deceptive! It can hold A LOT. I use it for storing my lettering equipment – mechanical pencil, eraser, ruler, sharpener, pens in diff sizes, a shader and a white chalk pencil!

I LOVE this!!! The origami elephant is my favourite ^_^

Snail Mail Project

Maria was a very lucky lady! Those hand lettered labels and stickers are just fabulous and Merissa puts so much thought into her parcels and packages!

custom rubber stamps

Merissa also makes custom stamps! If I could afford to buy them all, I would. The Air Mail one is my favourite. You will need to contact Merissa directly via her blog if you want to commission a stamp! (link below)

Fashion Illustration from Paperfashion class

Merissa took a fabulous Fashion Illustration class on Skill Share and this is the result.. isn’t it marvellous?! I’ve been following Merissa’s blog for a long time and I know she’s an excellent illustrator but I’m so impressed with her watercolour skills.

The sequins are my favourite part ^_^ Visit Merissa’s blog and share some love!

What a cute blog! I’m definitely adding this to my Feedly. Wouldn’t it be so lovely to receive such beautiful mail?! I’m not sure I could make anything quite so nice to send in return though. Have you made these sorts of packages yourself Claire?

Hi there! THank you so much! You know, there are times when bloggers can hit a bit of a lull and lose the spark of creativity but today I’ve had two comments that have made me feel amazing so thank you for stopping by and leaving that ^_^
