Are you clinging on to the summer sun and dreams of beach front living? I think you can tell that I am doing the very same! This is a very picture heavy post, so I have added a little break after a few images. If you love nautical and chic, you will love this post! I have never really loved the nautical theme; the many nautical themed homes I have seen were completely over the top and this little cottage is pure white and heavenly with little nautical touches.
Look at this bedroom! It’s absolutely incredible. So bright and white. I love the mixture of pure white furniture and the wood furniture. I would really like to see behind this bed at that little table. I know this is a photoshoot location via Light Locations (in the UK) but the way that table is positioned with literature makes me think of a B&B. That could just be a stylist making it look interesting!
I am dying for a claw foot bath tub. In fact, I would really love a bathroom big enough to fit a bath! The little metallic letters are absolutely beautiful and all of the little touches make this home look elegant.
oOoOoooh!!!!! I have no words. Apart from.. does that bathroom have a door?!
Maybe it just doesn’t have a toilet? And is aimed for the more romantic. I can imagine in this bath, summoning a butler for chocolate and more bubbles!!
I am trying to picture the layout of this lovely beach home and I am struggling too! I really love this home. The furniture is absolutely exquisite and unique, which is definitely what you want!
I think the blue doors are my favourite and now I would like some cream carpet all over my house!
I would be very curious to see how a beach home like this looks in the winter and snow. And what it looks like with a fire blazing. In the autumn and winter I love warm, cozy and snuggly. As beautiful as this bright, open space is, I can imagine it being very cold.
A beautiful little area for children to play. Aren’t these little furniture pieces absolutely perfect and in keeping with the rest of the house?
I imagine the view is marvellous!
This kitchen is a huge size! great for cooking, obviously! I don’t like the tiles on the floor but I’m not sure what I would have chosen as an alternative.
2. A claw foot bath tub
3. A Belfast sink (kitchen or separate little laundry room)
oh! There is everything here! A little seating area to watch the children playing, a small desk area for working away while the kids are in that little nook, or somewhere for kids to do homework while you sit in the open plan seating area! The wicker storage baskets have added so much visual interest and really seems to be a great contrasting texture to the smooth carpet, walls and upholstery. The wood in the sofa does the same thing. I also love the shutters on those windows!
A view from the other side ^_^
A door open to the laundry room! This house is enormous! I would love a little poke around.
How many bedrooms does this house have?! The shutters are absolutely fantastic and really essential when you have a ‘nautical’ bedroom with no sign of blue anywhere, the devil is in the details; the panelled walls, the drift wood furniture and mirror and the shutters. The “New England” style bed also really lends itself to the nautical theme that just engulfs this home impeccably.
