The Best Planners For 2017 To Plan Your Days Like A Pro
Are you obsessed with planners and all things planner related? Or are you trying to get better at it? Honestly, I’m a bit of both. I LOVE planners, and I love receiving a new planner every Christmas day and spending my Christmas night filling it in with everyone’s birthdays and important dates. The thing is, I already have two planners that I haven’t used yet, but I’m not excited about using them. So, I decided to check out some of the best planners for 2017 that will help me to plan my days like a pro instead of planning to plan my days that way!
The Faux Patent Aubergine polka dot planner by Filofax is rather adorable. I’m not a huge fan of Filofax inserts, but luckily I have created my planner that is entirely customised to me and what I like to plan.
I will be able to use that within any planner I decide to buy (punching using my Cricut or A5 planner punch).
I’m not a huge fan of ‘Personal’ sized planners, but they’re a little cheaper than their A5 counterparts. In some cases, they’re much less expensive. The A5 version of this planner is around £50 which I think is too much for a planner. This is a very cute option, and I love the platinum rose! It’s beautiful.
I have a Heidi Swapp planner, one of the planners I haven’t managed to start using yet. It has a 6cm spine! It’s obscenely large and struggles to fit in my handbag. I’m honestly not sure if I’m going to use it. I want to, want to use it. If that makes any sense at all.
The striped version has a standard 2inch spine which is perfect for a handbag. Heidi did a fantastic job of designing the inserts; they’re beautifully laid out and look very stylish indeedy.
Who doesn’t love a bit of rose gold at the moment?! I have a bright yellow gold planner to use, but I think I would like a little rose gold in my life.
I have been quite enamoured with the fluorescent pink Filofax that has been available for the past few years, but it is made of leather. Which is a no-no for a vegan like myself. This is the best alternative I could find! It’s made from faux patent material, and I have a punch that punches the holes for this bad boy. I could use my 2017 printable planner.
Be still my beating heart. Rifle paper company creates the most stunning stationery ever. If I didn’t have about 20 notebooks on my shelf waiting to be filled, I’d probably buy a few Rifle paper company books as a treat. Life’s too short for crappy notebooks 😉
Oh my goodness. Me? Obsessed with Kate Spade? If I could afford her stationery, I definitely would be! How beautiful is this planner? The design and layouts are fabulously and I would have SO much fun decorating this with my favourite Heidi Swapp Stickers.
I’ve encountered Me&My Big Ideas before but never considered purchasing one until now. The way it’s bound made me believe I would need a new punch and I realised that I own a Cricut and it wouldn’t be too difficult to customise my inserts instead of having to purchase ‘brand only’ inserts’. Have you ever used a planner like this before?
The peony florals kit is beautiful! All the inserts are so very flowery, pink and perfectly me! My favourite part is the matching washi tape 😉
The Hello Life version of this planner is probably my favourite. There are watercolour style inserts and beautifully designed inserts. Although, I do like to customise my planners.

You can purchase an extension kit for the Happy Planners, which means everything home related can be organised too! Maintenance, decorating, pantry inventories, you name it, you can organise it! I was very impressed with this option, which means that Me & My Big Ideas have shot to the top of my considerations list!
Action Day 2017 – World´s Best Action Planner – Layout Designed to Getting Things Done
If you want to be seriously organised in 2017 in all aspects of your life, then this Action Day Planner might be a contender for you. There are different colours available, but my favourite was pink.
Currently, this is top of my list. It comes with paper and fresh refills, which I can remove and use at a later date if I choose to. The paper it comes with is my favourite type of paper for my daily handwriting practice.
I love to decorate a planner! Doodling, stickers, bright lettering, the whole 9 yards! When I discovered that Simple Stories do a range of Planner Accessories I was very excited! Reset girl is a beautiful, pastel range of planner accessories and these stickers are fab to get you started.
This slimline insert is perfect for taking random notes.
I haven’t included Carpe Diem planners in this list because they are around the £50 mark and I think it’s extortionate, BUT saying that, they do make fantastic planner accessories. These basics stickers have got you covered.
I am buying this Washi Tape! It’s been a while since I’ve purchased any new washi tape and these are beautiful patterns I would use on a regular basis.
This is a great planner dashboard with stickies attached! I use post-it notes every single day, and it’s so handy to have them attached to the planner already!
Sticky notes are always handy to have, and this is a pre-made dashboard. Saves any hassle you may encounter creating your own.
I love the Heidi Swapp planner accessory range, and I’m going to buy these receipt pockets. They’re beautiful, and some have gold foil, which looks fabulous and tres chic!
Coloured pens are an absolute must for any self-respecting planner obsessive 😉 This is a great set and pretty good value.
Now that you’ve seen some of the best planners for 2017 I want to know, what was your favourite planner on show today?
I think I might be in love with the Rifle Paper Company agenda. If it had been a six ring binder, I would have bought it immediately!
