After having this Savoy, Old English bathroom cabinet in my possession for 11 months… I am so pleased to say that it is finished! Finally it has had its makeover! Initially I painted the whole thing pink and didnt like it, then I decoupaged the top and didn’t like it. Some Cath Kidston wallpaper arrived and the pattern was too big. Then I chose some paint colours but the store wouldn’t ship to Northern Ireland *sigh* so after lots of set backs… it is finally finished and up on the wall!
I used some vintage wallpaper that I already owned to line the shelf and just used two mixtures of chalk paint for the inside and outside. It’s not bad for a cabinet makeover if I do say so myself :p I’m happy. Finally!
I also thought it was quite large but I think that was just because it was on my desk and in my way!
I also had a palava choosing the door knob for this cabinet. I decoupaged some and painted others in different colours. Much like on my ikea moppe drawers makeover, I went for gloss acrylic paints from Americana – DecoArt range. The last pictures in this post are to show you the cabinet before the makeover. I didn’t take any images when it arrived because I’m silly. I really don’t think I can express how happy I am to have this cabinet makeover finished and up on the wall!
