DIY Decoupage Craft Supply Gift Box
I had a rather battered Ikea dvd box and I decided to turn it into a gift box for a birthday gift! I took photographs as I went to share as a diy project :).
You will need:
DVD Box or shoe box
Two types of gift wrap
Brush for glue
Brayer (for rubbing out bubbles in glue)
Ribbon for the lid
Glue gun (to permanently attach ribbon but double sided tape works too)
I laid out my gift wrap first and unfolded the box so I could cover everything with paper, including the little flaps.
I covered my box with glue and laid the box down carefully.
I flipped it over and got to work on the brayer, things went a bit crinkly but it was ok. I bent the edges as much as I could, to ensure the paper wouldn’t rip when the sides of the box were folded back up.
Fill with goodies!
For the ribbon; I cut two lengths and taped each end to the under side of the box, I then took one large length of ribbon and slid it under the top of the ribbon that I just taped down, I then tied two knots (this corrects the direction of the ribbon) and tied a bow!
