DIY Furniture Makeovers Scandinavian Style
I absolutely love the recent trend for unique DIY furniture makeovers and my favourite DIY furniture ideas seem to come from Denmark and Norway. This fabulous stool, that has been painted and wallpapered is from Maris blog, a rather fabulous Norwegian blog full of pretty upcycled furniture projects!
There is vintage wallpaper all over this Norwegian home and this super retro contraption is a vintage heater that was spray painted pink!
I want a vintage hair dryer as a lampshade! It’s quite like the light that was recycled from a vintage hair dryer, I featured last year.
I’m also very impressed by the wallpaper doors in the background! This is a fabulous dining room. I would love to live in this house!
This children’s bedroom furniture was perfectly painted in lilac and yellow. Isn’t it lovely?! I like the shade of lilac.
Lilac and purple is a very calming colour and a running theme in Mari’s home! This little living room vignette is just lovely.
I’m feeling rather inspired to get my decorators notebook out and start planning a paint job for my bedroom (I don’t want to get started on that rant just yet :p). I love this notebook, I wish I could afford wallpaper from Retro Villa DK!
These colour charts are just lovely.
This lovely vintage wallpaper and the spraypainted heater live in Mari’s living room. I would kill for a heater like this but I would be terrified to use it or plug it in. I would never trust vintage electrics! I’m terrified of fire so I would use it as a pretty ornament :p.
This lemon yellow wallpaper is wonderful! All of these patterns are so inspiring and I am always so inspired and want to go out and spend a fortune on wallpaper! I have a cabinet that is currently being made over and needs wallpaper.
I wish Mari would show what that blue and purple thing is in the background! I love the colours! I also love the legs of this stool.
And look at this gigantic reel! It’s being used as a coffee table and it looks marvellous. Maris Blogg.
