I always love it when I find a site full to the trim of creative ideas and DIY projects. That’s just what I got with the Turkish blog ‘Turuncu Oda”. This cross stitch jar cover is a wonderful recycling idea. The blog seems to concentrate a lot on recycling, which is an aspect that I love!
These little thread tidies/organisers were made using cardboard, scissors, decoupage glue and a pretty, floral tissue! Don’t they look wonderful? I don’t think I have the patience to cut so many little bobbins ^_^ perhaps a die cutting tool or punch would be something I would need!
I thought this wall mounted pen storage was a wonderful idea!
Do you have any notebooks with ugly colours? I certainly do, loads of them in fact! Use some chalk paint and permanent coloured pens to make them pretty. Little notebooks you would want to use!
This pastel coloured crochet blanket and crochet cushion are the most adorable pastel colours!
This was initially an old wooden frame, it got a fresh lick of chalk paint and some card got the cross stitch treatment. It makes a beautiful piece of artwork to hang in your home.
I thought using some twine to weave coasters was a fabulous idea! I have some lovely aqua coloured twine from Greengate DK that I haven’t had the heart to use yet. I must try this out.
I would worry it wasn’t as strong as the stuff used in these images!
Another great recycling project! Using old tea boxes to store some little punches.
I have seen many pretty paper lanterns on pinterest recently but they all have rather large spaces between the ‘slices’. I like the amount of incisions; it seems to make the lanterns a little more round. Always use battery operated tea lights when using paper lanterns! They are a HUGE fire hazard. Please be careful! Turunc Oda blog is a wonderful resource.
