The pom pom trend shows no sign of going away, and I LOVE it! You will always find an assortment of ready-made pom poms in my craft room, as they’re perfect for adding to random craft projects! There’s nothing that can’t be adorned or covered in a beautiful fluffy pom.
I decided to make this Mini Pom Pom Wreath that was curated as a kit by Crea Crafts and I love it. It’s a mini wreath so it doesn’t take too long to make, that’s a win-win if ever I’ve heard one. Time is a precious commodity, especially at Christmas.
An Insanely Easy Pom Pom Wreath Project, Even Your Kids Can Do It!
How To Make The Gorgeous Wee Pom Pom Wreath!
- Choose the colour combination of Pompoms you would like to cover your wreath. I have used a mixture of neutral coloured yarns from my stash and the Crea Pom Pom Wreath kit.
- Start to make your poms using the Pompom maker provided with the kit. I have used both of the makers to give the wreath a variety of different sized poms.
- Wrap the wreath with yarn.
- Either use long pins or use a glue gun to stick the poms firmly to the polystyrene wreath. I started by sticking the largest poms and polystyrene balls down first and then arranging the smaller poms and polystyrene balls around them.
Now For The Sparkly Part:
Get some Bostik PVA Glue and coat the wooden snowflake with a thin layer. Once covered, shake the glitter all over the snowflake. Allow to dry.
Once your snowflake is dry, use some string to allow for hanging from the top of your wreath.
Feel free to use Command hooks for easy hanging! The best part is that they are entirely removable.
Now you see how easy it is to make a pom-pom wreath project when you’ve got a kit containing everything you need! The kids will be in heaven creating all of those snowball like pom poms. Of course, the more hands making pom poms, the merrier, as that is the most time-consuming part of the entire process.
Be sure to visit Crea Crafts to get your hands on the kit before Christmas.
Christmas Crafts Have Never Been Easier!
Tell me, what was the last Christmas craft project that you made, that you LOVED making. The entire process from start to finish was enjoyable! Be sure to comment below with your favourite.
Feel free to peruse the archives of Heart Handmade to find the next perfect project.
If you plan on making this fabulous pom pom wreath with your kids this Christmas, be sure to take over when the glue gun or pins come out. Otherwise, there could be a lot of tears and no more fingerprints! I lose at least one fingerprint for every glue gun session that I have.
