I’m so pleased to present another project from Merry Makings Christmas Magazine. Ayda created this fabulous Washi Tape Tree DIY project for the free Christmas Craft Magazine a few years ago and is by far one of the easiest craft projects ever!
You Will Need:
- Canvas or Poster Board
- Washi Tape
- Push Pins
- Small Baubles
- Glitter Cards (Project Below)
- Gold Paper To Create A Star Or Gold Star Stickers
Find out how to make those gorgeous ceramic gift tags here!
Use washi tape strips to create the outline of a tree.
Then use pins on the very edges of your branches and stagger in a zig zag fashion.
Use the twine around the thumbtacks and zig zag downwards. Ensure you tie knots at the beginning and at the end.
You can then hang decorations on the twine or use washi tape or scotch tape on the edges (that means you can remove the decorations and reuse the tree next year.)
Recycled Christmas Cards & Decor
You Will Need:
- Old Christmas Cards or Printable Christmas Scenes
- Pastel Card
- Uhu/Pritt Stick type Glue
- Glue Pen (makes life easier)
Scan and print some old Christmas cards or simply cut the front off old cards.
Choose which parts of the cards you want to add glitter to and draw on using the glue pen. Add glitter and shale excess (put excess back in the tub).
Use pritt stick style glue to adhere the cards to the front of the pastel cards and now they’re ready to send!
