The Craft Cafe – How To Crochet An Ice Cream Lolly
Hello! It’s Ana of MysteriousCats again and I hope you’re all doing very well. So did you enjoy my little crochet carrot from back in April?
Anyway, Spring Bank holiday here in the UK today and I hope it is a sunny one!
But if it’s a wonderful day or just another grey one, for me, it’s always a good day for ice cream. So here is a recipe for a quick, calorie free one. Enjoy!
Ice Lollies Amigurumi Pattern
– DK yarn in brown, pink, cream and light brown
– 4 mm / 6 crochet hook
– a pair of 6 mm safety eyes
– needle to join parts
With brown yarn, ch7.
Rnd 1: 2 scs in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 4 st, 2 scs in next st. Now continue around using the under loops, sc in next 6 st. (14)
Rnd 2: 3 scs in next st, sc in next 6 st, 3 scs in next st, sc in next 6 st. (18)
Rnd 3: Using back loop only, sc in each st around. (18)
Rnd 4 – Rnd 7: sc in each st around. (18) Change to pink yarn.
Rnd 8 – Rnd 10: sc in each st around. (18)
Rnd 11: sc in next 8 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 6 sts, sc2tog. (16)
Rnd 12: sc in each st around. (16) Change to cream yarn.
Rnd 13: sc in next 7 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 5 sts, sc2tog. (14)
Attach eyes and start filling with stuffing.
Rnd 14: sc in next 6 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog. (12)
Rnd 15: sc in next 5 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog. (10)
Rnd 16: sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog. (8)
Sl st in next st. Fasten off and leave enough yarn to stitch closed hole.
With light brown yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in Magic Ring.
Rnd 2 – Rnd 7: sc in each st around. (6)
Sl st in next st. Fasten off and leave enough yarn to attach stick to ice cream.
I used a piece of piper cleaner in the stick to make it more solid. But this is optional.
