Summer is HERE! Of course, that means the July bullet journal cover ideas are ALL that I’ve been looking at for about a week and a half. There are so many incredibly talented artists that make their bullet journals look amazing. Putting me to shame of course, but I wanted to share some of the BEST with you!
We all know that life can get hectic, sometimes all you need to do is to grab your notebook, grab a pen, some markers and time with your journal. Whether you are just drawing lines and creating the bones of a layout or doing some doodling, I think it’s a great form of self-care.

22 Genius July Bullet Journal Cover Ideas
When it comes to using markers in your journal, I have tried them all. These Crayola Supertips are absolutely perfect to use in your bullet journal. Not only are they are cheap and easy to access but there are so many colour options, you can buy a pack of 50. If you love a blended watercolor effect without adding lots of water to paper that can’t handle it, you may want to invest in Tombow Dual Brush Pens.

Under The Sea Theme Bullet Journal Cover Idea
What an impressive layout! The use of watercolour is excellent, it’s just unfortunate that most bullet journal pages can’t hold water and tend to buckle. If you want a blended effect, using Tombow markers is an excellent option, it won’t be the same at all but it will be blended. Unfortunately, you can’t get that effect without buckling the Bullet Journal pages.
Top Tip: If you want to use a lot of watercolour in your journal, use a bullet journal with the heaviest paper. You can also use scrapbooking rub ons or watercolour stickers.
Fireflies Cover Idea For Your BuJo
This is an eye popping layout! The way Victoria has managed to create fireflies in motion by using pen and markers is truly impressive. I don’t think I could do this layout the justice it deserves. It’s so good! A lot of practice is in my near future.
Lemons Bullet Journal Cover Idea
This is beautiful! I love everything about lemons. The smell, taste and how good they look hanging from a tree! This layout is great and the lettering is rather impressive also! If you need a great font to try and copy, you can find a great one in this post. Called Janda stylish script.
Geometric Flamingo Bullet Journal Theme For July
This looks like it could be an awesome tattoo. Adding fine lines and geometric shapes to your doodles can be an awesome way to make them really pop off the page! The marriage of feminine and linear is beautiful.
Can you see the way the pink is blended on the paper? That’s the effect that you can achieve with Tombow markers and their blending pen which is included in every set. You can also by their markers as singles if you would like to build your set one at a time. Just don’t forget the blender!
Under My Umbrella Bullet Journal Cover Idea
I’ve included this layout because I live in Northern Ireland. The majority of our July months are rainy. I remember because it’s my birthday month and I always took note of that weather nonsense! The way the umbrella has been coloured and shaded is rather marvellous. So I love this layout.

This is such a cute layout! Oh my goodness, the patience required to do that wreath of watermelon slices is unreal. Something I definitely don’t possess. If you’re nervous about painting with ink, you can always get brush pens from EcoLine or use those Tombow markers to prevent buckling.

This looks like an awesome and simple layout to copy! It looks very zentangle art and I can attest to how relaxing it is. As long as you aren’t worried about making it perfect, you can create something beautiful. Again, with the title, Fauxligraphy will always be your friend.
Pretty Pastel July Bullet Journal Cover Idea
I genuinely think that this is my favourite layout from this entire list. It requires zero actual drawing skills. You will need to be able to create fauxligraphy but washi tapes and stencils can take care of the rest!

I love peaches. Love them. My FAVOURITE smoothie is peaches, mangoes, coconut milk and vanilla protein powder. Plus a few superfood things buy holy smokes it’s good.
