Knitting For Beginners – Cheat and Get A Kit
Wool And The Gang Kit Review
I was so excited to get my hands on the Lula Kit by Wool and the gang. I think I chose a rather marvellous colour of yarn don’t you?! This is my very first knitting project and the ladies at WATG offered skype sessions and lots of help, they even offered to help me set up a knitting group in my local area! I thought that was pretty special. I struggled at the very beginning with the tension square but my Aunty told me not to worry about it too much.
I was holding the needles wrong in the beginning but after a quick lesson I was flying. The best advice I received was to do a few rows at a time and then take a break… which is what I did. I love the yarn!! It’s expensive, but the end result is incredible.
I also LOVE the big paper bag. I also had to swap my needles over to some plastic needles I had purchased from RICE DK a few years ago (because they were in the sale and they were brightly coloured). The yarn slid off the plastic needles with greater ease and it helped me loosen up. The pattern was so easy to follow, it didn’t take long to finish and I felt like a champion when I did finish it!
See what I mean about my brightly coloured needles?!
I loved these WATG needles! I did chip one of mine and I was heart broken. I’ve no idea how I did it. I’ve been practising on the wooden needles now and I absolutely love them. I have finished my project and I used all of the Wool and the gang videos to finish off the project. I just need to get a photo of it!
Now we just have some pretty images to look at! Did I tell you yet how much I love this yarn? It’s super super super chunky and it’s so soft.
It’s hard not to love this Greengate DK watering can. It’s a wonderful thing to look at.
