10 Last Minute Christmas Gifts for Keen Crafters 2015
I think I may be in denial about Christmas day being FRIDAY! Oh my goodness. I still have a little shopping to do and I’m going to seriously rely on next day delivery! Or at least enquire about express shipping within the UK (on etsy). I found some fabulous crafty kits on etsy and if you have any crafters in your circle of family or friends, I am sure they would love and appreciate the thought of trying another crafty skill. I know I would. The only problem I can think of is – have they tried the craft before. If you’re a bit of a detective, you could trawl through their social media or pinterest; both to find out what the recipient has tried already and what they would like to try. Social media really helps when it comes to figuring out some gift ideas, you would at least know what would be appreciated. That’s half the battle. I’ve selected some excellent gifts in a range of skills. Hopefully there is something suitable for all types of crafty fans.
A make your own lip balm kit. A kit is great because it has only the necessary amount of ingredients that you need. As a crafter myself I think ‘I could just grab the ingredients separately, it might work out cheaper in the long run ‘. It also might not be your idea of a fun craft and your stuck with extra ingredients you wont use. Trust me, I’ve done it plenty of times!
I wish I had super slim hips to pull off such an apron, I love that shape.
If you know someone who has mentioned they’d love to try crochet but never gotten around to it, this crochet scarf kit would be the perfect gift.
Embroidery is a fabulous skill to have. It does need a lot of patience! If you know any crafty souls who are interested in Mindfulness, I think that embroidery is a perfect time to be mindful and put some techniques you’ve learned into practice.
Stamp carving is a great craft. You definitely have to be mindful whilst carving stamps, otherwise you might lose a fingertip. There are so many great patterns you can use as your stamp, so a stamp carving kit is a great idea! Any image is possible.
I simply adore this monogram frame ornament kit is adorable! I love so many of the kits available from RedBeardDesign, I wish I had the patience for cross stitch.
Another fabulous cross stitch project is this birdy cross stitch garland kit. It would be beautiful for spring!
If you can trust you gift recipient with a sharp knife, this Paper Cutting Kit might be a good idea as a christmas gift. I might cut my fingers off so I will trust my machine.
I adore the little notebook kits available from this shop! The stationery for sale is also rather wonderful.
This glass trinket candle kit is absolutely fabulous. I have made candles in jars before but I’d be thrilled to receive this as the little trinket bowl is gorgeous!
You might have to contact the sellers and make sure that if you order lunch time on monday it will arrive by Christmas eve (in the UK)
