Perhaps not all of my feminine living room choices are practical but they are certainly pretty! I still haven’t purchased a sofa for my living room.. it’s a big expense and I’m terrible at making decisions. Recently, I’ve been seduced by Laura Ashley and all things shabby chic and feminine so my design focus has shifted slightly. I adore the curtains in the first image here.
10 Magnificent Feminine Living Room Ideas
Neutral Living Room Ideas:
I like the shape of this couch, with its tall arms, but I’m not a fan of the texture or legs. I’m not a big fan of the chest but I love the colour on the walls and the beautiful arrangement of logs! It’s so fancy. How much do you want to bet that the fire is never lit? There seems to be no hearth but I love how it’s being used to display logs like artwork.
This is the type of sofa that I wish I could have in my living room. Habitat have some gorgeous sofa’s available through Homebase, footstools, and cushions too but I’m really crazy about the natural fabric sofa’s they’ve released.
I’m going for natural fabrics as they’re practical; you can change the colours of the cushions and throws to change the entire look of the living room. This natural styling is perfect for the change of summer into autumn.
I love the legs on that sofa!
Colourful Living Room Ideas:
So, I was looking at the full range of Habitat sofa’s and got overly excited with the bright colours! I love the yellow two-seater sofa. Not exactly practical but I could treat myself to an armchair right?! It can be moved from room to room.
This is a beautiful sofa with the vintage style legs, are there locks on those wheels or are the back legs solid? I don’t know much about furniture. I love this living room because of all the pretty flowers! I’m clinging onto summer as much as I can.
This is so vintage and chic! It’s rather dark but I love the colours of the soft furnishings.
I spy some Greengate tins!
I LOVE the shape of this couch! This is the only non-feminine living room, I apologise, I had to include it because of the shape of the sofa! I love it!
AND… I nearly died when I found the Winchester sofa from Habitat, bright yellow with multicoloured buttons. I want to go to a showroom and see how beautiful it is in person!
I’ve decided on the sofa and a little foot stool, practical right? Practical, feminine and beautiful! Of course, I had to show you the two brightly coloured solutions I would love to be able to buy, but I get bored easily and like to change my decor regularly so this isn’t a practical solution for me. For shame!
