15 Fabulous Flowers That Last Forever!
Are you ready to see some Mothers day flowers with a twist?! If you’re stuck for some gift ideas for Mother’s Day then you’re definitely in the right place.
Or even if you want to find some flower tutorials to decorate your own home, let’s get onto the tutorials!
Crepe Paper Wild Flowers from Oh Everything Handmade
Crepe Paper Anemones by Twigg Studios
How beautiful do the paper anemones look?!
These were created using white crêpe paper, paint, green crêpe paper and a black pom-pom for the centre!
That’s rather genius. I may have even featured this marvellous tutorial before.
Paper Hydrangea Tutorial by Lia Griffith
Lia Griffith offers a membership site where she creates incredible tutorials, downloads and templates of paper flowers and I think these hydrangea look fabulous!
Peonies By Lia Griffith
I would like to say one thing about these peonies; shut the front door! They’re made from Cupcake Wrappers?! No way! They look beautiful.
DIY Paper Flower Crown by The House That Lars Built
This is a rather beautiful decoration. You may even want to make it for your mum as a wreath instead of a crown, depending on her age or level of whimsicalness.
Paper Peonies by Ash and Crafts
The colour palette of these peonies is so sweet. I would be more than happy to have these in a pretty vase in my home. There’s a rather beautiful Gisela Graham Vase that would suit these down to the ground!
It looks pretty gorgeous right?! All you need to do is create a few more to create an arrangement or mini bouquet.
Crepe Paper Sweet Peas by Crafted Sophistication
I would love to know how long it would take to make these lovely sweet peas. They are so beautiful I would love to have a full vase sitting on my coffee table. However, I’m an incredibly lazy crafter. All the tutorials I create or feature, yield pretty quick results, so if anyone knows how long it takes to make one of these, please let me know!
Paper Alliums By Design Sponge
I’ve always been rather taken with alliums, as they are so big and beautiful in the garden. It’s always rather striking when you see about 3 three of these in a tall glass vase. You wouldn’t need to make many of these to have a unique gift idea. Wrap them up in some pretty tissue paper, and away you go.
How To Make Pretty Paper Hydrangea with Cath Kidston
Be still my beating heart. I may have also shared these before because they are some of my favourite colours and my favourite flowers.
Well, top 5 at least. I’ve loved a lot of flowers in my day :p I’m not sure why but those blooms look so soft!
And can I say, what a rather great jug they’re displayed in! I know it’s from the 2016 season, but you might get lucky and find similar on eBay.
If you are anything like me; someone who likes quick crafts and feels rather intimidated by the level of detail those tutorials go into… do what I fully intend to do and just buy some that other talented crafters have already made!
Mothers day flowers, sorted.
The Lazy Clever Way *cough*:
I realise these were created as an idea for a wedding or a photography backdrop, but you could easily use them to create a gorgeous gift for your mum this Mother’s day!
A bunch of dark paper peonies could never go a miss.
These flowers match my mums living room decor, and as she has a reputation for murdering all plant life that goes her way, these are the best gift you could give her!
Peach and coral are part of my favourite colour palette (looking at this blog, could you tell?!). These flowers are gorgeous! I want them for my home.
Oh! Even more beautiful flowers in my favourite colours.
How beautiful are these?! I don’t even know how to decide which to choose for me, let alone my mum.
Possibly by the colours of your home decor.
But still, a vase of these on my desk would brighten my work days for sure!
Now, this is a gorgeous gift! Mothers day flowers with a total twist! You could even add some beautiful photos with invisible thread and make a unique gift for her.
Have you made any paper flowers in the past? Can you remember how long it took?
I would love to see your flowers, please link up in the comments or tag me on Instagram with your projects @hearthandmade.
