Why I Love The Sketchbook Delight Class! A Peek Into Sketchbook Number 2.
As you guys know; I have been taking the Alisa Burke class – Sketchbook Delight. It didn’t take long to get on to my second sketchbook because the first book I used wasn’t the best quality paper so I could only do one painting at a time and not on both sides of the page. It’s much easier to fill a sketchbook and make you feel like you’ve accomplished something!
Except, you don’t get the best finish on your drawings or paintings! Boo!
The first set of pages in my (second) sketchbook were used to try out the supplies on the new paper to see how they take, this was a lot more fun than you might think!
A lot of studies of items from around my mums garden and some shells that are used as decoration in the bathroom.
Blind technique drawings and shading practice.
More bathroom and garden finds!
and now for the phone pictures! I think these are from the first sketchbook…
The peonies are from the second sketchbook that I posted about previously.
I was quite impressed by this one! Lol.. A scene I saw when I was parked up waiting for my dad to pick up a boat. I took a few pictures out the window with my phone and painted them later.
These pictures were inspired by the pattern on my Cath Kidston mug and the second is inspired by my iPad case.
This was me attempting to work on a wild flower in the garden! Using watercolour pencils from waterstones.
Because the flower was so small I kind of missed a lot of the detail until I saw a picture later on that evening, so I tried it again. Quite pleased with how it came out but not incredibly true to life with the feathering on the petals. I shall try again perhaps! Or accept and move on ^_^
Lots of love
