For today’s post, we are lucky to travel all the way to Finland to see around the most beautiful home, full of romantic, shabby chic little items and lots of pink! The blog ‘Maalaisunelmaa’ belongs to Johanna and she shares the most beautiful images from her home over there. (Linked below
Do you see what I mean?! You all know by now that I am obsessed with Greengate! So of course I would be including the contents of Johannas fabulous dining dresser filled with Greengate latte cups, tea cups, mugs and most of the stoneware actually! I’m very jealous of this collection. I also really like this big dresser unit with the cupboards beneath.
This is a fantastic view of all the greengate goodies that Johanna owns. I like all the red and white (those are my christmas colours) and I do actually own a few of these pieces myself too. I’m slightly in awe of the amount of greengate latte cups in this image, they’re not exactly cheap are they! What a lucky lady ^_^
Not only is Johanna’s greengate collection rather impressive, but she has the most wonderful outdoor shed/greenhouse that is absolutely flooded with natural light and it has the most beautiful aqua coloured door! I would live in that little shed if I could.
These are stunning! Are they muscari? In a little bundt pan? That is a very good idea! Do bulbs not need any drainage then if they can sit in water? I must write a little reminder to go and research that! I’m getting quite excited about spring at the moment so you are in for some more posts filled with flowers and questions.
I absolutely adore hydrangeas, I think they might be some of my favourite flowers although my favourites list tends to go on rotation! I also love a Tilda tin so I was pleased as punch to see the hydrangeas being displayed in such a lovely tin. Those doughnuts look rather delicious too. I remember eating the jam filled ones when I was younger and just being covered in sugar and jam. A big sticky, delicious mess. Ok, now I’m hungry!
Johanna’s little girl is also very, very lucky and most definitely a princess! Not only does she receive a princess themed birthday party but she also has a princess themed bedroom;
The light around the mirror is absolutely beautiful and I am really in love with the pink, gingham wallpaper!
The bed is perfect for a little princess and of course, a canopy is necessary!
There is also some rather fabulous pink storage in that room that is just perfection for a little girl.
This outdoor setting made me very happy indeed. It just reminded me of spring and summer, I don’t know why though because we never get weather like this in the UK, ever! Maybe a few days last summer were good but it definitely didn’t last very long. The canopy above this outdoor dining set is just fabulous. And look at that hat!
Remember when I said my favourite flowers were on rotation? Yeah.. with peonies and ranunculus (and lilacs)! I think I need to grow a giant rose garden with a little section off to the side for hydrangea bushes (?) and lilacs. Lots and lots of them! Those strawberries look delicious, I don’t eat cheesecake but the strawberries and lovely fluffy peonies got me with that image
To end with, I had to share this image with you. I was rather impressed with the wicker framed chalk board as I have never seen one of them before! I also really liked the orchid ^_^ and the ’51’ spray painted onto the wicker basket. I might choose a number and start painting it on everything. I’ve seen so many good number themed items recently for interiors (is that a trend I have missed) either way, I like it!
