Scandinavian Shabby Chic Living
I adore this Scandinavian, shabby chic cottage. As we wait patiently for the summer sun, I long for white-painted floors and all white walls! Of course this is only really a good idea for those of us who live in dark grey countries. If you lived in South Africa or some parts of the United States you might go blind every morning as soon as the sun came out.
Isn’t this all white. shabby dining space, absolutely fabulous? I tried the all white living for a while. I couldn’t do it. I love the style! But, little bits of pastels and Cath Kidston florals kept poking through and before I knew it I was living in a bright, white, but still colourful little paradise ^_^
I thought this image was absolutely divine. I love the pale rose and the metallic candle sticks and votive holders. The little willow planter basket matches this vignette perfectly!
oh! Be still my beating heart. so much light is allowed to travel through this space and that is essential when you live in the Scandinavian countries. I would say us Irish could learn a lot from the Scandinavians and their clever use of white! Ireland manages to get all four seasons in one day sometime. A coat is always necessary :p
I really, really like these drawers but I would love a better view of the magazine storage on the wall. I want one!
That vintage bread bin is absolutely marvellous. All of the vintage kitchen items are perfect for this home and a little modern touch with those ikea jars blend in seamlessly!
What a fabulously fancy living room! I’ve been searching on gumtree for vintage lighting like that floor lamp but no luck. I really don’t know where to look here in N.I and I’m not prepared to go to every car boot sale that’s happening. I guess I will have to search eBay and be patient! That chandelier is so fancy!
Oh now, this red brick feature wall is FABULOUS! It’s the perfect break for the eyes within this all white home. It makes everything blend together beautifully.
I think i need to paint my stairs white. And then make them look ‘vintage’ by beating the life out of them. Get the whole street in to walk up and down them :p
I really love this kitchen. I like the sink and the box of herbs! I wish I could get more light in my own kitchen but no amount of white would help.
What a beautiful bed and bedside table. I’m going to have to search for some lovely vintage mirrors too, I can always paint some wooden ones if I can’t find pretty white ones.
Doesn’t it look fabulous? This is a gorgeous little Scandinavian cottage with a great porch too! Found on Expressen.se
