This lady, is a big deal of a blogger in Poland and I can tell you that it is very easy to see why. Everything in this photo is an upcycled DIY paint and building job and you get to see the ‘before’ images on her blog. If you take a look at this picture, take a wee note of where the gorgeous little aqua drawers are.
For this is why…. there has been a little makeover in that space. My word… Ushii seriously knows how to make the best out of a small space! Those little aqua drawers are also a makeover, they were originally a little Ikea style chest of just four wee drawers (I mean size wise, these were like a vintage card catalogue storage unit of 4 drawers) and Ushii added legs and paint. Isn’t it crazy what you can do with some paint and legs!?
This little shelf just had the towel rail where the ribbons normally live and the little broken panel, so Ushii added a shelf that the wee buttons now live one, a back bracket for support and also the two panels of hooks below. This lady is a DIY machine! Oh it also got a fresh lick of paint obviously.
These used to be some vintage mismatched loose tea tins… so of course… a lick of primer, paint and a waterside decal. I am in love with Ushii and her little homemade home.
This image is from the fabulous post about the chair transformation and what a transformation! It looks glorious. Something inside me is longing for the chair upholstery fabric to be a soft grey plush velvet. Just to be kinder to ones bottom! My mum and dad inherited some vintage chairs and I am telling you.. velvet or something equally luxurious is the way to go! I must show you my vintage chair that I picked up and I love to death. Seriously. It’s so beautiful!
Lots of love Claire xo
