Cross Stitch Cupcake Box for Valentines
Today I have such a simple DIY project for you! I will show you how to cross stitch your own paper/cardboard cupcake box, to fill with cupcakes and give to your loved one on valentine’s day! I absolutely adore these cupcake boxes and I think they’re adorable as packaging, for gifts or even for a little etsy shop. I digress! Let’s crack on with the cross stitch tutorial ^_^
You will need:
Cupcake Box – (Mine is from Self Packaging)
Cross stitch pattern <— Download link
Twine (Mine is gold and cream)
Awl or poking device (I used one of the de-threaders you get for sewing projects)
Needle suitable for twine (mine is a tapestry needle)
Tape/secure your cross stitch heart pattern and poke the corners of the crosses.
Lots of random poked holes! I realised they’re large holes but I had to deal with it, I should have used an awl. Shoulda woulda coulda!
Start stitching your crosses!
Tie off and construct your box! If you buy your box from Self Packaging, they have great instructional videos and guides to constructing your boxes if you get stuck.
I started to draw hearts with a gold sharpie to decorate the inside! Your box is all ready for delicious valentines cupcakes.
See? I told you it was simple!
What do you have planned for valentines? Will you be baking cupcakes for your loved one? I’ve substituted real cupcakes for salt and pepper shakers because I can’t be trusted with real cupcakes. Om nom nom. I will eat them all and I won’t even apologise for it.
Oh! Did you guys see the great Craft Cafe post from last week? Aga of passion shake blog created the most beautiful Valentines Day Gift Wrap.
