This is the beautiful, vintage pastel home belonging to Martine, owner of the online store ‘Omstebeurt’. Martine lives in an old grocery store in the Netherlands. Martine initially started a business, making and selling children’s clothing out of vintage fabrics and by a series of ‘flukes’ she moved into paper, stationery and marvellous collages. I am absolutely in love with all of the pastel shades in her home. I want this dining room space with the aqua blue accent wall and buttercup yellow chair! The lilac is also a beautiful touch in the other rooms. I could look at this image all day. Can anybody tell me what that tiny little cabinet thing is in the wall?
This cabinet thing! I love Martine’s handmade pastel calendar. The shades of the calendar match the room perfectly.
I enjoy peeking into people’s homes and I am always interested in the items that are hung in their kitchen. Hooks are a genius storage idea for any kitchen!
Aren’t these sorbet wall colours just beautiful? I would love to live in this house! The blue chair marries perfectly with these chalky pastels on the wall.
I love a vintage cabinet, I really love re-painted, vintage cabinets! This looks fabulous, although, I think I would have painted it in some of the pastel shades, especially against this pretty old school wallpaper.
I didn’t realise that this was a pink shade on the vintage painted cabinet. I would have perhaps gone for a different shade of pink to make it pop but it is great. These vintage tins sitting on top of the cabinet are a beautiful touch.
These are some beautiful, vintage and crafty notions! What a visual delight ^_^
Martine is fantastic at creating collage pieces. These little wooden blocks are beautiful!
The flowers on the table are a stunning touch and I just adore that table! It’s rather french country farm-house style.
This vintage bedroom is so kitsch! That big giant wall-sticker is also incredibly kitsch and I love it. I remember one winter when I was staying with some family in the alps, their cabin’s basement bedroom had an enormous one of these stickers on the wall. It was so strange because it was the view from outside. I’ve come around to it now though :p
I almost fainted when I saw this picture. Look at the colour on the wall!! AND THE CURTAINS! Ok I know I say this with almost every house tour, but, I’M MOVING IN!
As I’ve discovered my own love for vintage wallpaper and style, I’m discovering how much I love vintage wallpaper patterns in a big way! I love this room! I wouldn’t have it as my own bedroom but I would be happy to stay in a room like this. It’s so very kitsch!
I almost fainted when I saw this image too. Look at that vintage dressing table! Isn’t it glorious?! I think I need to set up some alerts on second-hand websites for furniture like this. Actually… is this a dressing table or a console table? I don’t care, I want it! I will find somewhere for it :p
I hope you enjoyed this tour of Martine’s home. I absolutely adore every room! Omstebeurt online store.
