Back to school stationery shopping was always my greatest pleasure every year, but since graduating from university I can’t justify buying expensive pens just because they are pretty.
Then, I remembered the wonders of washi tape.
I remembered how many beautiful bright, fun patterns and colours you can get, the DIY’s you can do with washi tape are endless.
So I found 10 ways to jazz up your stationery and make your own pretty cute stationery for going back to school or jazzing up your desk space.

Ball Point Pens
These beautiful glittery ball point pens are a great way to jazz up any plain old pens you have lying around the house and will look refreshed and fabulous in your pencil case.
The glitter tape is the best!
2. Wooden pencils
We all end up with about 3 to 4 IKEA pencils in our handbags after a trip round that maze of a shop, so why not add a bit of colour with neon washi tape and pop them in your pencil case?

This iPhone case looks gorgeous!
We all want that unique but pretty phone cover that no one else has but at the same time doesn’t cost a bomb.
This is a brilliant way to make you own personal cover.

Simply choose your 4 coloured tapes and go!
Much like the iPhone covers, your laptop can end up seeming rather plain.
With a few strips of washi tape, your laptop cover will be transformed much like this gorgeous yellow cover!
Washi tape can be removed very easily, so if you get bored of the design you can change it again.
Be creative, go crazy!
You can use the extra wide washi tape so you don’t end up going through an entire roll.

Flagging pages in your book, notebook or journal can be a nightmare when it doesn’t stick.

I remember the tatty wallpaper that my own books were wrapped in; these would be much better.
