Craft storage ideas are my favourite thing EVER. Whether I need inspiration, I've just tidied my craft space or I just fancy noseying at other peoples craft spaces. Today we are talking about one of my favourite topics ever! It makes me giddy just thinking about it. Does that make me a weirdo?
12 Stunning Craft Storage Ideas You Will Want To Steal Like Right Now
Are you freakin' FED UP because you are bursting with excitement to get started with a project and can never find any of your supplies when you need them?
Story of my life.
I tend to group DIY supplies by project and then mindlessly 'hidey' them up (jam them in any free drawer or cupboard space)... and forget.
It makes me furious at myself.
Here I'm sharing 12 of the very best craft storage ideas I've found recently, 13 if you include the picture of Poopers showing off her desk bed. I've also included some drawer porn for good measure. Because everyone needs to see some drawer porn (or prawns as I call it) that every once in a while.
The right drawer prawns, can inspire and motivate you (me) to sort your (my) drawers out and craft supplies.
My 3 Favourite Craft Storage ideas from this post:
1. The DreamBox Unit (obviously) (Use coupons HHMUK100 in the US or HHMUK if you’re in the UK or EU)
2. Creating a dedicated Cricut* Station.
3.Using Modular storage* inside a closet for some extra floor space.

Craft Storage Ideas | A Cubby For Paint
I have got the biggest girl crush on Crystal from A Pumpkin and a Princess.
There are so many beautiful projects on that blog and she is such an inspiration to me!
Ok, I will stop gushing.
In my last post all about incredible crafty storage, I featured a version of this little unfinished wooden cubby*. Having a large one that is big enough to store this paint would be marvellous! You can purchase cardboard organisers (called Tjena) from Ikea that store approx 5 bottles of DecoArt paint BUT I want one of these amazing cubbies! You can stack two and they'll fit in an Ikea Kallax. If you scroll down, Poopers will show you what the Ikea Kallax looks like in my craft room.
Epic Craft Storage Ideas; Modular Storage In A Closet
Kimberly, from A Night Owl blog, teamed up with Michaels Maker’s to completely organise her craft room and boy did she do a great job! I love that Vinyl storage at the top of the storage closet (under the large boxes). The storage used in the image above is very similar to my own craft room storage situation but it’s a million times messier than this! I love modular storage!
Organized Washi Tape On A Spool Organizer = Excellent Craft Storage Ideas
Kimberly also did an amazing job at organising her Washi Tapes!
Currently, I just use some very pretty Greengate DK tins to store any washi tape that I’m currently using and clear acrylic drawers from Muji to store extras!
There are some amazing Washi Tape Storage options on Etsy.
Hop over here to see the fab washi tape storage options there.
Gift bags and ribbons are in the Alex drawers in my craft room.I love how the back of my craft room door looks:

So the Elfa solution above doesn’t suit my needs but it’s amazing and super practical!

Craft Storage Ideas For Organized Glitters & Embossing Powders
This is some of the drawer prawns I was referring to. Best part?
The genius idea of attaching spoons inside Tupperware for glitter projects!
Can I just take a moment to say how much I love the Martha Stewart Glitter sets?!
They're very useful for all types of projects and look fab in photographs. Personally, I can not be trusted to use glitter without covering everything and everyone who lives in my house.

Craft Storage Ideas For Embroidery Floss
This photo began to do the rounds in 2011 and it is still doing the rounds 5 years later.
That’s amazing. Nothing lasts very long in the flow of blog land but Heather from Heather J’s Life, has done a great job at solving a problem in a super simple way! You can see why it’s still so popular.

Repurposing A Shoe Cabinet
Using Ikea products for something other than their original intended purpose excites me.
Like using a shoe organiser* to store paper!
It’s just smarts.
So I love this shoe storage turned paper storage bin!
I have a real thing about paper storage.
My drawers are were so organised. Until I stopped putting things back where I found them and starting jamming them anywhere they would fit.
I like using the Alex products from Ikea as the drawers aren’t too deep and is great for storing paper and keeping it organised. (My paper is actually the only thing still organised in my craft room).

Super Organized Drawers
HGTV are always trying out awesome new tricks to try and improve our home lives - if you don’t have a drawer full of glitter and just have a few tubs, this type of organisation could be perfect for you.
Clear acrylic drawer inserts have saved me!
You can always make your own drawer organisers out of yogurt pots, hot glue and spray paint.

Craft Storage Ideas; Organized Ribbon Basket
This dollar store ribbon organising hack is awesome. With a little gold spray paint, some dowel rods and your ribbon collection (you can find everything on Amazon), you could have some pretty storage in minutes!
You can do something similar with balls of yarn and some long knitting needles!
For some of my favourite pastel coloured yarn, you might fall in love with my Etsy Page a little bit. For more yarn hacks check out: 20 insanely clever yarn hacks to make your next project easier!
Utilize the back of your doors
HGTV are at it again! Coming up with a creative, insanely practical storage solution for gift wrap & bags with this unit by Elfa.
My gift wrap supplies situation is thus; all the gift wrap I own is stored using 1 strong wooden hanger, using 2 super strong dry cleaning bags reinforced with white duct tape and hanging up in a cupboard.
Craft Supply Storage Dresser
Stephanie Lynne is another lady that I love a lot!
Stephanie is such an inspiration to me and I need my very own craft supply storage dresser.
This is a 6 drawer dresser that is choc full of paint pots, tools and all your favourite supplies!
Stephanie also utilizes drawer dividers really well.
It is a great piece of furniture if you don't have a dedicated craft room and need something that is super functional and also very pretty.
Die Cutting Machine Station
Something turquoise is another blog that I've followed for years, this Cricut station is something I need immediately (another thing I need immediately) because I got my very own Cricut Air!
Up The Walls!
Yet another awesome blog, used 4 Recollections slat wall starter set to organise craft supplies up the wall in less than 30 minutes.
The ribbon and tape organisation is great! I also have lots of that gorgeous glitter tape by American Crafts.

Amazing things here. Some of these suggestions are genius; like turning a closet into dedicated storage for supplies. It's also handy for me as a woodworker without a shed or garage to work in. My home is covered in sawdust but I can store my important belongings in the closet like above and lay sheeting down. Great ideas, thank you
