Craft room ideas and craft storage solutions are probably what I’m best known for through this website, so of course, I thought I’d share some of the best Craft Room ideas we’ve ever featured!
Along with images of my craft cupboard, Poopers the cat and a few new ideas to inspire you.
😍 17 Terrific Craft Room Ideas To Steal
The DreamBox Craft Cupboard UK; My Craft Room
This is my current craft room; my old craft room is further down this post but obviously, my signature vintage wallpaper patchwork is still here, just not on the door this time!
My craft cupboard (UK), is from the folks over at CreateRoom (keep scrolling for a review + coupon) and I absolutely adore it.

I love the Olabelhe Sewing space. There is so much storage in this room and having the glass doors is a beautiful way to allow more light into the space.
Colourful Sewing Studio
This wall space is absolutely beautiful and some of my favourite craft room ideas are right on this wall!

Cute Decoupage Table:
Having a large desk with your favourite supplies close to you is so important and will really help you craft more.
My Old Craft Room Ideas; Large Open Storage + One Furry Assistant
This is my craft room in my old house. Truthfully, this space was stunning with tonnes of natural light and Pooperses loved lying on my desk and keeping me company.
However, the storage wasn’t up to scratch. I’ve spoken so many times about how inadequate this storage is; it took too long to find things, which then translated into subconscious blocks which ended up impacting my mental health.
That’s the precise reason I created the Daily Creator Challenge; so we could uncover your psychological blocks and fix them, quickly and easily.
Shabby Chic Craft Room Ideas
This is a beautiful shabby chic attic craft room from Tamsyn Morgans. I’ve been such a huge fan of Tamsyn’s since we first met in 2010 when I started this particular site.
If I ever create a mood board or vision board for design ideas, I can guarantee that at least one image of Tamsyn’s is there and I always mark where I found it so I can always return.
Tamsyn then moved house and got a much larger space! Still shabby and incredibly elegant though.
There is part of me that adores this type of style. It makes me yearn for a time I never really knew, reminds me of my granny and even though she’s very much alive, it brings back the warm and fuzzies from when she was teaching me how to sew.
Janna Werners Scrapbook Craft Room
I’m so glad to have met Janna many years ago AND then have her contribute some incredible scrapbooking projects to the Free Handmade Happy magazines that are available inside our Craft Freebies Library (+ patterns and tonnes of tutorials).
Jewellery Making Craft Room Ideas
I’m sharing quite a few pictures of Christine’s craft room; I LOVE this space and love this woman. We discovered each other through instagram and I fell in love with her fabulous jewellery immediately.
Of course, I ended up splurging and treating myself to a gorgeous bracelet and I’m such a big fan.
It’s clear that Christine has a great eye for colour and styling.
I developed an entire bundle called the Craft Room Designer Toolkit; a bundle of digital files to help you create your fantasy space in 30 days.
It includes everything you must consider to create a harmonious, productive and effective craft room.
Why? Because us crafters have a really bad habit of copying cute craft storage ideas we find on Pinterest just because they look pretty.
99% of the time, those pretty solutions are merely superficially pretty and not actually functional or helpful in any way.
It doesn’t matter how pretty your space is if you never use it.
I know because I experienced just this. My craft room was no longer fit for purpose and I hadn’t even realised until I noticed myself feeling a bit “bleh” for too many days in a row.
That’s when I did my favourite thing; journaling and really drilled down into why my space wasn’t actually functional for me and who I was as a crafter.
Don’t make the mistakes I did! I’ve already made them for you.
Pastel Craft Room Ideas;
I’m an enormous fan of Redagape and her gorgeous images of her enormous studio.
Of course, this gal has an unfair advantage being based in a country with ALL the sunshine which helps her photos really stand out but it has be said, the styling is perfection!
Pegboard Ideas In The Craft Room
Crochet queen Redagape utilises an entire wall of pegboard storage rather beautifully, but of course, those aren’t always available to people.
Whether it’s due to limited space or budget, there are other pegboard options for you.
I LOVE the colourful pegboard used in this basement craft room makeover by Welcome to the mouse house blog. It’s such a beautiful and enormous space; you will be so jealous by the rest of this Basement Craft Room Makeover.
This was the craft room when I moved into my new home; the storage that broke my crafting habit!
It wasn’t until the DreamBox arrived that I fully understood all of the stupid mistakes I had been making when setting up my craft room.
Unfortunately, as pretty as the space was, it was merely a well decorated storage space, instead of a functioning craft room.
