I really missed being able to spend time here! It is time to forget the snow and the cold. The trees are blossoming and spring is in the air.
Spring time is just around the corner and it might be fun to have some craft projects for Spring, this is why we have some repurposed tea-cup DIY spring planters for you to make today!
How To Decoupage And Decorate Pretty Spring Planters
I get so excited this time of year as I begin to see many beautiful spring flowers around. I really love spring flowers and it makes me happy to see them in different corners of the home.
I have two tea cups and two ideas to decorate them.
I hope you’ll get inspired by it and have as much fun as I had making them.
How To Decoupage Tea Cup Planters;
This diy project is so easy and known but the result is great. You can see all needs for this project below;
- Plain white tea-cups
- Floral fabric
- Decoupage glue
- Clear Varnish
Firstly, we carefully cut-out the floral pattern from the napkin about 3/4 of your cup of tea cut high.
Every paper napkin has 3 layers, remove the 2 layers from the bottom.
Apply the decoupaged glue all over the tea-cup and fix the napkin to on it.
The most important thing is that there are no air bubbles left under the fabric or napkin.
Apply the decoupaged glue onto the fabric/napkin again and leave to dry.
The Easiest DIY Planter Ever
As you can see, this is a very simple project. The best part? It takes only 5 minutes.
- Plain white tea cup
- Coloured dot labels (you can buy pastel coloured labels to match with spring time here!)
- Clear Varnish
Just stick your labels on the tea cups in a random manner and adorn with pretty ribbons.
To make sure that they remain weatherproof, consider buying a proper clear varnish that isn’t water based decoupage glue. Obviously, you can use any stickers you fancy.
There are certain scrapbooking brands that make embellishment stickers and rub ons that would work really well on these white tea cups or even bowls and plant pots. Don’t forget the varnish!
What do you think of these super simple DIY spring planters?! Will you make some this season?
