Glorious Chic Cottage Decor
I don’t know about you but Chic cottage decor is my absolute dream of a home. Not only dream about it, I drool over it quite frequently! So, I was very excited when I discovered the most stunning, inspiring, flower arrangements via Pinterest and I was so giddy to find the rest of the fabulous decor and imagery on Aiken House and Gardens blog.

All about the Ice Cream
Where on earth would I get an ice cream cone planter like this?!
Update 2017: I must admit that I became obsessed with ceramic ice cream cones and cupcakes after I found this image on Carolyn’s blog! My house is coming down with them but still no all blue planter.
I shall endeavour to keep searching! Amazon and eBay are great places to find them. I could always try to paint one but I don’t think I’d be able to recreate the pretty ceramic glaze that’s on the one in the image above.

If there are any ceramicists reading this, please get in touch and let me know the effect that painting with porcelain paint would have. Thank you muchly.
The image above shows the most fabulous corner day bed; with gorgeous flower arrangements and aqua linens, overlooking a beautiful body of water.
I wonder if Carolyn is lucky enough to live near a lake, I know that she lives on an island. I might need to do a little research about islands in Canada and go there immediately.

Turquoise Glassware
Recently I’ve been featuring lots of beautiful lilacs and vintage glassware, and I’m beginning to think that I might have an obsession. Where do lilacs grow? I haven’t seen them growing locally but I’ve seen plenty of hydrangeas (which I also love).
Vintage turquoise glassware has been on my wishlist for some years now and I’ve set up alerts on websites like gumtree and eBay to notify me when some become available. In fact, they don’t even have to be turquoise because I know I could always take care of the colour myself with a little food colouring and mod podge 😉

Flowers flowers, everywhere
I love the watering can! And beautiful hydrangea ^_^ This watering can look like it’s been painted with some rather nice chalk paint. I love the colour.
All of the flowers in those gorgeous Wellington boots are amazing. I wish I were able to identify them all! I own rather lovely Joules wellies but I wouldn’t dare use them as a vase. I’m going to need them in my new garden 😉

I would love to have a little potting shed area like this. I would like to find one of those tiered plant stands, I’ve seen some lovely plant stands in places like amazon and Wayfair. They’re all rather large, but I’d still love one! I would just need to find some space.

A Cottage Chic Haven
This is one of the most beautiful bedrooms I’ve ever seen. The colour on the corner wooden panel looks like it matches the pretty watering can!
I like the little fabric, pom-pom trim lamp shade. It’s so pretty. I love this bed and would love to own one! It’s on my future wish list.

Beautiful Bathroom Decor
Carolyn has one of the most beautiful homes I’ve ever seen, and I love the bathroom and its wonderful colour scheme.
The crochet trim towel hanging from the wall is a gorgeous colour. You can find some rather marvellous crochet trim towels on eBay or else buy the coloured trim and stitch them on yourself with a trusty sewing machine.

Ok, I need to take a few notes now on my wish list. The claw foot tub and trim towels are going on that list.
Even the pretty shabby bin is going on there.

The white wooden cabinet is an excellent storage idea.

I absolutely adore the colour of paint on these walls and the beautiful contrast between the lace curtain over the bath and the lovely wood panelling!

I would kill for a claw foot tub! The colour of that little jug with the bright lilacs just made my heart sing!

where can I buy a bed like that? Thanks for the beautiful photos … many blessings!

Hi Linda, I’ve no idea. You could do a search for iron beds? check gumtree and ebay for local collections. Try second hand stores and scrap yards?

These are so gorgeous! The rainboots remind me of my mom’s gardening skills. She liked to fill old boots she found at the side of the road with flowers. They looked so cool in the garden!

They’re insanely cute! I hope to do the same thing in my own garden this summer 🙂
