How To Make Flower Envelopes – A Papercrafts Tutorial with Silvia Raga
Hi dear reader of The Craft Cafe, I’m Silvia from Giochi di Carta and I’m very happy that Spring is to the doors (at least here in Italy! 😉 ) and I feel very inspired by the blossoms of fruit trees in this time. Today is the perfect time to share this papercrafts tutorial with you and I hope you feel inspired to make some flower envelopes!
As you know I’m very fell in love with stationery and paper… So I thought it was a perfect idea for me to create a little envelope that when you open it seems like a flower!

What you need is simple:
Coloured photocopy friendly cards/paper
Template (there are three templates available, geometric blossom envelope, geometric blossom envelope inside (for decorative/pattern card), geometric blossom card (a shape to create a card for inside the envelope)
Pencil
Scissors
How to:
First, copy the template into the cards: you can print directly on the card, or cut out a flower and use it as a template to trace the outline in pencil.
Once you have cut out all the flowers, fold the petals as you can see in the image below, it’s easy and fast!
Now take pretty decorated papers that you like and printed the template to beautify the inside envelope (geometric blossom envelope inside)
Cut out and paste on the card.
With this template (geometric blossom envelop card) you can make a little card to write some greetings, messages, wishes to those you want!
Customize your card with stamps, handwritten calligraphy, washi tape, ribbons…
…And put inside the open envelope!
I like wrap all my messages with a ribbon! Isn’t it a nice addition?
I love writing cards to my friends… So, it’s the perfect time for a snail mail!
I wish you a Happy Spring and Happy Crafting!
