DIY Birthday Cake Jar Candle
Making your own soy candles is a simple project. You can use this great kid to add colour to your candles if you wanted.
I started making candles back in 2011 and I've been making them ever since. There's even a Pringles Can candle tutorial in the FREE Merry Makings Magazine you can access in the digital printables library. My recommendation for soy candles is to start with a kit like this because it includes everything you could need.

DIY Vapour Rub
Last Christmas, I woke up with a scratchy throat. That ended up being a cold that lasted for THREE weeks. I felt like I was going to die at times. Am I exaggerating?! No, for real. It was awful. The pains were unbearable on top of the pain I’m already in on a daily basis. Read more about my chronic illnesses/disabilities here.
At that time, I ended up putting eucalyptus in an oil burner. Anyone who entered the room got burning eyes, but it worked for me! I’m going to make a jar of this vapour rub to keep on hand for sick emergencies!
DIY candle holder in a jar
This fabulous DIY comes all the way from Norway! We don’t normally use candles like this but I LOVE candles and I’m DEFINITELY going to make one for my living room. It adds gorgeous visual interest to your living room! Grouped together, they can really make a beautiful vignette.

DIY Golden Storage with Leather Handles
First I must tell you that I DO NOT RECOMMEND using Leather for anything. Anytime. Anywhere. BUT these look amazing and you could easily substitute the leather handles with some fabric. Just make sure that you use some interfacing like this stuff to make them strong.
FairyTale Mason Jars!
I love creating silhouette crafts, I even made a silhouette lampshade using my Cricut machine. These jars are ANOTHER fab idea for the kids.
How To Make Mason Jar Soy Candles
As I mentioned previously, I LOVE candles. They’re perfect for adding additional warmth when it’s freezing outside and you don’t own a fire. I fill my fireplace with candles and make the room super cozy.

Crochet Jar Covers From Dottie Angel
Oh Dottie Angel, I miss you. When I first started blogging, Dottie Angel was my FAVOURITE blog! From time to time I go for a visit and potter around. I also love flicking through her book every so often. There are some fabulous crochet patterns over at Dottie Angel!
This isn’t a DIY tutorial, just to serve as inspiration for a DIY project. You can purchase similar on Etsy. They look marvellous, don’t they? I can see why they sell well!
DIY Soap Dispenser
A soap dispenser like these is a pretty common sight in stores at the moment, and I’m not surprised AT ALL. DIY and craft bloggers have become so influential, and this is a key element to the rustic industrial trend that has been so popular of late!
My husband was given one of these for Christmas, and he loves it. He had never seen the idea before, so if he hadn’t received one as a gift and I showed him this image, he would have made one immediately. I’ve been telling him that he’s only allowed to purchase one of these painted openers from Etsy because they’re available in Pastel Shades!
Nautical Inspired Jars
Another fabulous tutorial from the blog, It All Started With Paint! I decided to share this particular tutorial in this section because the next tutorial shared is another nautical themed jar project. It’s all beachy keen.

Kawaii Colourful Pencil Jars

I ended up creating a printable template for you to download and recreate your own Kawaii jars because I know a lot of people aren't confident enough to draw the faces.
Spring Fabric Jars
These fabric lined mason jars take a little more effort but are still relatively easy for even the most inexperienced DIYer. Find your favourite Springtime fabrics from your scrap bin or your local thrift store (old pillowcases would work great!), then cut the fabric into strips and use mod podge to secure the strips to the insides of the jars. These would make fantastic teacher gifts at the end of school year – the perfect jar to hold all of those red pens!
Pastel Flower Jars By
Aren’t these so adorable? Looking at them we never would’ve guessed how simple they are to make. Simply squirt some acrylic paint into the jar, put the lid on and shake until the glass in coated. Let dry upside down overnight and voila!
Sparkle and Shine!
Top prizes if you can tell me where Sparkle and Shine comes from! I’m a glitter fiend. So much so… that this 30 something gal got this Glitter Backpack for Christmas. I would say that my mum and I are like magpies, but it turns out, magpies don’t steal shiny stuff (source). We love glitter… that’s all you need to know for sure! So I need to make these sparkly jars!
Organize Your Kitchen With Utensil holders
These look great! Because of the width of the jar at the top, you won’t be able to fit too many utensils in there, but you could even use them to store straws, disposable chopsticks, tall plastic sundae spoons (that you can use for stirring coffee in a Cafetiere) etc.
I LOVE THIS!!! I’ve got all the supplies I need to make my very own and I’m excited. All I need to do is find a section of wall that’s free for displaying pretty flowers in a jar.
The Etsy store that created this hanging vase is FULL of amazing mason jar inspiration and ideas to decorate your home.
Give a gorgeous rustic planter box with three vintage style coloured mason jars to your Mum on Mother’s Day or for her Birthday! These are beautiful!! Too pretty go give away in fact so you could keep them and add them to your home office décor.

Hanging Candle Holders

DIY Air Freshener Jar Decoration
This DIY Air Freshener is a little different to other Mason Jar air fresheners because this one is a decoration and not just baking soda in a jar! I never even knew you could buy air freshener beads, so I’m going to get some to bunch up on my radiators.
A DIY Funfeti Candle
This candle looks edible, and I want it. I was lucky enough to receive a candle like this for a birthday a few years ago, and it smelled like cupcakes!! When you make your own, you can make it smell however you would like.
