This goes without saying, but check everything for the dishwasher-safe symbol before loading it into the machine. You may be surprised by how many items actually need handwashing. Like me, you may end up checking the dishwasherocity of products before you purchase.
Can You Put Sharp Knives In The Dishwasher?
Dishwashers can dull your best kitchen knife, so it’s a good idea to carefully wash these up by hand. Knives are also pretty dangerous to put in the dishwasher, as you could cut yourself while loading and unloading the machine. Not only would your hands end up cut to ribbons, they could also scratch or mark other items in the dishwasher if they’re really sharp and move around.
