Welcome to The Daily Creator Challenge FAQ page! This post is going to cover what will be covered inside the The Daily Creator 5 Day Challenge and I’m so excited to get started.
The Daily Creator Challenge is following along a lot of the CreateRoom journey, with several tweaks to supercharge your creative productivity.

The Create Room journey was a Journey developed by the folks over at Create Room and they were thrilled when I approached them with my idea to do this. They are life long crafters and passionate innovators who have over 12 years of experience and expertise in a unique cross section:
- Decluttering best practices
- Storage design
- Workspace design and
- Organization Methods
As such, they’ve canonized their method and developed products based on these best practices which we will be following to enable daily creativity for our mental health.
Where I Come In:
I have over 10 years experience with aggressive goal setting methods as a previously bed bound woman (approx 4 years) who has managed to just become housebound; in quarantine before it was cool. 😉😅
However, I’ve also launched my blog as a business, got married and bought my first house before I turned 30 and my husband and I have been thriving ever since. All of those achievements are despite the fact that I have very limited energy on a daily basis.
To compare energy to spoonfuls of sugar, I get about 5 spoons a day whereas a “normal” person could have been 400-600 a day depending on how active they are.
The difference between me and every one else?
I’ve mastered the art of simplifying complicated tasks into achievable chunks as I have to do it for e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g; even the most basic tasks. From washing my face in the morning to ensuring that I conserve enough energy to be able to get to my bed at night.
You can live an incredibly fulfilling life as a housebound disabled person but it’s not something that comes naturally, I worked hard and had a lot of support.
Support, which is not always available to people; I live in a country with free healthcare and prescriptions. It’s also TINY (there are fewer than 290,000 people in my city and it’s the Capitol).
So I’m giving the support. I’m sharing the skills I’ve built up over many years and sharing the psychological shortcuts that you can use to do it so much faster than I did!
Marie Forleo said it best:
“Everything is figureoutable”Marie Forleo
In that time I also rediscovered the world of arts and crafts, taught myself how to draw, paint, crochet and knit in small chunks of time each day when I had a little energy. Then I pretty much took on a new skill every year until I became even more productive and effective.
The Creator of the Daily Creator Challenge has been featured in and on:
And now… I’m training to become a licensed art therapist to help and support my own creative community and their mental health issues.
The psychology that I’ve learned has confirmed that indeed; all habits that I’ve accumulated over the years have been.....
Scientifically proven in repeated studies to be the steps to success.
So I’m tweaking the Create Room Journey to include psychological hacks to guarantee success which truly makes crafting and creating almost effortless BECAUSE we’re building them as habits which are controlled by our subconscious; it’s automatic.
Similar to brushing your teeth or flicking the kettle on when you get to your kitchen in the morning or after a meal.
- STOP struggling with No Time To Craft
- Reduce Stress
- Reduce Symptoms of anxiety
- Improve your quality of sleep
- Reduce effects of depression
- increase cognitive abilities
All of which has been scientifically proven through crafting:
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
I am Claire and I’m an art therapist in training with 13 years experience as a pro craft blogger, and I’ve been lucky enough to have been featured on BBC Radio 2, NBC Today Show, BBC Good Homes Magazines, Mollie Makes and many more.
I can’t wait to share all the psychological hacks and trade secrets with you in the Daily Creator Challenge.
HERE IS WHY I AM DOING THIS DAILY CREATOR CHALLENGE:
Because I believe that every crafter should be aware of how their brains work. Nothing overwhelming, just the basics of how our brains actually work when it comes to creating and the factors that influence our behaviours.
When we are aware of what those are, we can combat every single one of those factors (that contribute to us being responsible for standing in our own way) through the use of psychological hacks!
Here is what you should do next: Sign up!
Here is why you should do it right now:
Because in a 5-day window, you will be basking in the knowledge that you are not only special but also an action-taker and an excuse-buster! Please note that this particular version of the challenge does not involve Facebook Lives. It all takes part via email and on site with pre-recorded videos.
THE DAILY CREATOR CHALLENGE FAQ’S
WHERE IS MY CHALLENGE EMAIL?
That sucks you’re having trouble finding your email! This can be a touch issue to actually solve from our end but here’s how it works; we send the emails every day using fancy software, they’ll always be at the same time (6am GMT - London/Dublin)
Once you have entered your email address for the challenge, go to your emails and confirm. The majority of delivery issues happen because you didn’t confirm that you wanted to be on the list.
My assistant Sandra can help you by sending you your email again if you can’t find it, but please keep in mind that due to the high volume of emails we receive daily it may take some time for us to get back to you.
BEFORE REACHING OUT TO US, WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU GO THROUGH THE FOLLOWING CHECKLIST AND CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE:
- Clicked on the LINK within the confirmation email that you get right once you’ve signed up for the VIP list.
- Why? Confirming that we’ve got the correct email address is the way that we can get permission from your email server to send to you, and it additionally verifies that we’ve got the proper email address. It’s too easy to mistype on a mobile device, thus if you haven’t found your confirmation email, check your junk or spam or it could be that you’ve simply written your email address wrong.
- If you can’t find your confirmation email, it might well either be in your junk/spam folder otherwise you might need accidentally mistyped your email and that means weren’t able to deliver to you
- If you believe that could be the case, just go ahead and sign up once more. You will be able to see your confirmation email shortly. Alternatively, if that doesn’t work, make sure to check in your junk or spam folder for the confirmation message.
- Your mail app might not save ALL of your spam messages. Search within your email app, OR look on your pc in the full spam folder.
- Finally, if the confirmation email ended up in your spam folder, simply drag it and drop it over to the inbox or look for additional options in your mail app to ‘move to inbox’.
WHITELIST MY EMAIL ADDRESS ([email protected])
Why? If your email doesn’t know that you’ve signed up for this challenge, then it may see the emails as spam and try to block them.
WHAT TIME DO EMAILS ARRIVE?
Please note that the challenge emails will be sent AUTOMAGICALLY (thanks for the word Coschedule) at the same time every day. In the morning after you’ve had your coffee and breakfast, I need you to get into the mindset of clearing out and taking action. Get in the habit of checking for your challenge email, do the worksheets which I will share the day of our lives and share your assignment in the evening within the private Facebook group.
The rest of the challenge emails will be sent out between 6am-7am GMT.
If you don’t see your email by 6am GMT, check your junk folder, and please read above if you’re having trouble finding emails.
Keep in mind that looking for email on your mobile device may not always search all folders, so you may want to check from your desktop or laptop. If you find it in your junk, MOVE IT TO YOUR INBOX and follow the prompts to alert your email service that you want all messages from us to go to the inbox 🙂
REGISTER USING YOUR BEST EMAIL FOR THIS CHALLENGE!
Why? Due to the strong spam filters the majority of email servers have, many emails end up in junk or spam even if they aren’t junk or spam and some don’t even make it to you at all.
GMAIL is the most likely to deliver, however, emails may go into a different folder like “Promotions.” Simply drag it to the correct location. The best place is somewhere you will notice it.
Want to update your email address? Use the “Update Preferences” link at the bottom of an email you’ve previously received.
I WANT TO CHECK IN FOR THE DAILY CREATOR CHALLENGE, BUT I DON’T KNOW WHERE TO GO
I can’t wait to see your daily progress! Every single day of this challenge, you can share your assignment in the comment section of the Facebook live or within the specific Unit for that day.
You can post anything you like, from just telling me what your biggest ‘Aha’ moment was, sharing a quick photo or even the progress in your worksheets.
SOMETHING HAPPENED, AND I NEED TO DELAY/PAUSE/RESTART THE DAILY CREATOR CHALLENGE
I completely understand – life happens to us all! Simply go to the very bottom of your email and hit ‘Pause challenge emails’ or even ‘update your preferences’. I can’t wait to have you back on board! We will be developing this into an ‘on demand’ Challenge where instant access is available, so you can always play catch up.
